We are over the moon to announce that Collision Theory has been selected for a residency with the West Yorkshire Playhouse’s Summer Sublets programme! We will be based at WYP for a week in August creating a new work-in-progress titled ’26.2’…
In a desperate attempt to figure out our place in the world as five twenty-somethings under constant pressure to be ticking boxes, 26.2 is a fresh, animated and intimate exploration into the art of training for a marathon and the parallel it forms with the art of living. Combining lyrical storytelling, dynamic imagery and physical endurance, Collision Theory will develop a unique work-in-progress examining what happens when the worlds of sport, art and life collide.
Following the week’s residency we will be delivering a short scratch performance of the piece we have been developing to a select audience for feedback. Details of this are to be confirmed but if you would like to register your interest as an audience member / industry peer willing to offer feedback, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have ever trained for / run a marathon and would be interested in contributing to our research and sharing your story, please spare a few short minutes to follow this link and answer some of our questions.
Keep your eyes peeled for further developments!
